Gloria Musica will be holding auditions for the 2013 - 2014 season on the following dates and locations:

Saturday June 8,  10:00 am until 2:00 pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 7750 Beneva Road, Sarasota.

Monday June 17,  5:00 pm until 6:30 pm at First Baptist Church, Main Street, Sarasota (Prior to rehearsal)

Monday June 24,  5:00 pm until 6:30 pm at First Baptist Church, Main Street, Sarasota (Prior to rehearsal)

1. Please be prepared to sing one piece in English and another piece in a foreign language of your choosing.   A pianist will be provided.

2. Sight reading may be required as well as the singing of scales.

3. Be sure to have Glenn Breitzig email you a form to complete and bring to the audition.

4. Audition should last no longer than 10 minutes.

Gloria Musicae Welcomes Steve Klindt, New Executive Director

Prior to joining Gloria Musicae in May of 2013, Steve Klindt was Director of Development at the Roskamp Institute in Sarasota. Before moving to Sarasota in 2011, Steve was director of development and public affairs for the Tampa Museum of Art. He directed programs for individual and major giving, government relations, foundation grants, corporate underwriting and sponsorships, and a successful capital campaign to build a new facility and increase the museum’s endowment.

Steve and his wife Mary moved to Florida in 2001 from New Jersey. Steve was a member of the Art and Arts Professions graduate faculty at the School of Education, New York University.  He has also served as director of the Tweed Museum of Art, University of Minnesota and the Queens Museum of Art, New York City.

Steve has a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and a master’s degree in art and photography from the University of Iowa.
